General Scholarships Scheme—GSS

The General Scholarship Scheme (GSS) is one of the most important and popular schemes of the ICCR for foreign students. Scholarships are awarded under this scheme annually to international students belonging to certain Asian, African and Latin American countries for the undergraduate, postgraduate degrees and for pursuing research at Indian universities.

However, scholarships for medical studies for MBBS, BDS or for medical research leading to a Ph.D degree are not offered under the GSS scheme.

Offer of ICCR Scholarship for the Academic Year 2017 – 18

The Embassy of India is pleased to invite applications from eligible Polish students interested in pursuing studies in India under the ICCR General Scholarship scheme for the 2017-18 academic session. Duly filled in application form [six sets] along with supporting documents by the interested student may be forwarded to Mr. Awadh Kumar, Attaché (Edu & Cul), Embassy of India, Mysliwiecka 2, 00-459, Warsaw before 30th January 2016. The scanned copies of the completed applications along with other supporting documents may be e-mailed as a pdf document to us at culture.warsaw@mea.gov.in Application Form and Instruction / Guidelines etc regarding the scholarship may be accessed at http://www.iccr.gov.in/content/general-scholarships-scheme-gss

In order to streamline the grievances redressal mechanism for ICCR sponsored foreign students, a Helpline E-mail ID studenthelpline.iccr@gov.in has been created. This Helpline is exclusively meant for students who wish to apply under various ICCR scholarship schemes, current students and the alumni.
